Janna Ryan, Paul Ryan's Wife, Attends Presidential Campaign Events In North Carolina Wearing $35 Dress [PHOTO]

Janna Ryan, the wife of vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, recently made her campaign trail debut with her Wisconsin representative husband.

The wife of Mitt Romney's running mate attended three campaign events in North Carolina sporting a thrifty $70 floral dress by Dana Buchman. The dress, which is on sale at Kohl's for $35, is making headlines and inspiring fans on Facebook, who were turned on by Ryan's fashionable, yet affordable look.

I was so excited this morning watching Romney & Ryan in North Carolina. Romney calls the wives up to the stage & OMG, Janna Ryan was wearing the same dress I wore to my nephew's wedding 2 wks ago!!! wrote Cheryl Cooper of Oklahoma City on Facebook. Paul Ryan's wife is apparently well-known for a reasonable sense of fashion. The Ryans' neighbors, Joe and Terry Moss, of Janesville, Wis., told USA Today that the 43-year-old stay-at-home mother of three once showed up to a neighborhood porch party in a $2 pair of sandals she purchased at Goodwill.

It also seems as if Janna Ryan has similar tastes in clothing as First Lady Michelle Obama. Last year, Obama wore a $35 H&M dress on the Today Show, but she is also known to have expensive taste. Obama recently showed up to Buckingham Palace for the Olympics' opening ceremonies in an all-white embroidered jacket that retails for $6,800.

The American public formally met Jenna Ryan on Saturday, when Paul Ryan took the stage in Norfolk, Va., and introduced his wife and their three children.

I want you to meet my wife, Janna, our daughter Liza and sons, Charlie and Sam, Paul Ryan said to the crowd. I am surrounded by people I love and I have been asked by Gov. Romney to serve the country I love.

Janna and Paul Ryan started dating in 1999 and married one year later. Ryan popped the question at one of his fishing spots in Wisconsin. The two later returned to Ryan's hometown of Janesville, Wis., after their wedding, and have resided there since.
