Jennifer Lawrence is not fooling Jared Leto, when it comes to her falling at major awards events. Lawrence has been deemed America’s “girl next door” since being thrust into the spotlight following “The Hunger Games” in 2012. And it seems quite accurate. The 23-year-old star is gorgeous, but she does not place emphasis on her looks.

In interviews, she has no problem talking about embarrassing butt-plug stories, for example, or admitting that she couldn't care less about dieting and adhering to Hollywood’s super-skinny standards. Lawrence also has no qualms about tripping at huge events.

But Oscar winner Leto is used to acting, and he is calling Lawrence's bluff. "You know, I'm starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act," Leto joked in an interview with Access Hollywood about the fellow Oscar winner’s tumbles at the last two Oscar shows.

Last year, Lawrence won the Oscar for best actress for her role in “Silver Linings Playbook.” When her name was announced, she jumped up and glided from her front-row seat to the stairs in her virgin-pink Dior gown. But somewhere on the stairs, she fell from grace. She paused for a moment before continuing up the stairs, and laughed off the embarrassing moment.

As everyone stood to their feet for her, she chuckled and said, "You guys are just standing up because I fell and that's really embarrassing." Reactions to her trip were, in general, positive. People liked her even more because she was seen as down to earth and was able to laugh it off when accepting the highest honor in her profession.

However, at this year’s Oscars, Lawrence tripped once again, and now fans are beginning to wonder if the whole thing is staged. Lawrence, who was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for “American Hustle,” told Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet: "I did trip over a cone. I'm not safe." The trip was captured by an E! camera and went viral online.
