Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sanchez Update: Couple Tours India Amid Protests

Just days after making their red-carpet debut at the Amazon Prime Video event in Mumbai, Jeff Bezos and girlfriend Lauren Sanchez reportedly stopped for a photo op in front of the Taj Mahal in India.

The pair were seen posing together in front of the reflection pool on Tuesday, just a day after Bezos showed off a fleet of electric rickshaws for Amazon deliveries in the country, the Daily Mail reported.

Bezos and Sanchez have been making the rounds in India, which has been met with controversy. According to the news outlet, protests have erupted, claiming that the Amazon CEO has stolen the livelihood of local street traders, who waved signs that read “Jeff Bezos, Go back.”

Since Bezos has been in India, he has announced a $1 billion investment program, attended the Amazon Prime Video event, and flew kites with some local children. The tour of India, has been documented on Bezos’ Instagram account.

The rickshaw deliveries are part of Amazon’s climate pledge. In his Instagram post documenting the delivery, Bezos wrote, “Hey, India. We’re rolling out our new fleet of electric delivery rickshaws. Fully electric. Zero carbon. #ClimatePledge.”
