Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reacts To Ben Affleck’s Apology To Wife Hilarie Burton
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is finally sharing his thoughts on Ben Affleck’s apology to his wife, Hilarie Burton.
Earlier this month, reports swirled that Affleck “groped” Burton during a 2003 episode of “Total Request Live.” The “Batman” actor apologized to Burton for his deed via Twitter.
Weeks later, “The Walking Dead” villain told Entertainment Tonight that she couldn’t be more proud of his wife for how she handled the situation. Morgan also said that he’s “happy” that Affleck apologized to Burton.
“I don’t want to make a big deal out of it because she didn’t, but I think everything that’s come out in the last couple of weeks, starting with Harvey Weinstein – anybody who has talked about it and even those who haven’t yet are incredibly brave and I think it’s time for change. Hopefully all this stuff is going to change the business. It’s prevalent all over and I’m proud of all these women. All women and my wife,” he said.
On Sunday, the actor, who plays the role of Negan in the hit AMC TV series, also gushed over his wife. While speaking with the same publication, Morgan revealed that Burton is the most “amazing person” he has ever met and called her his “role model.”
“There’s no one stronger than her. How she’s able to balance all the things that she balances and be a strong voice for good is amazing and I couldn’t be more proud. Every single day she does something that amazes me. She has made me such a better person, so I’m a lucky dude,” he said.
Morgan and Burton are also preparing for the arrival of their second child. The couple is already parents to their 7-year-old son, Augustus. According to the actor, his work in “The Walking Dead” is keeping him from preparing as much as he should for his second baby’s arrival.
“A little baby girl, so the family grows… We’re pumped, and Gus is excited, so it’s going to be fun,” he said.
