Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer’s messy split just had to be revisited after the ex-couple reportedly dined at the same restaurant in Hollywood, California.

TMZ reported that Aniston and Mayer were spotted leaving a restaurant at the Sunset Tower Hotel just minutes away from each other. However, it is still unclear if they crossed paths.

Following their breakup years ago, Mayer posted a shocking rant comparing their split to burning the American flag. When Aniston found out about it, she admitted that she was shocked.

While speaking with Vogue, Aniston also said that she understands where Mayer was coming from, but she vowed that the same thing won’t happen again.

“He had to put that out there that he broke up with me. And especially because it’s me. It’s not just some girl he’s dating. I get it. We’re human. But I seriously feel protective of him and us. Trust me, you’ll never see that happen again from that man,” she said.

Aniston also admitted to still loving Mayer at that time. But the “Friends” star also acknowledged the fact that their relationship wasn’t going anywhere.

“It's funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, We maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It's painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that's where it is,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mayer’s rants didn’t end there. During his interview with Rolling Stone, the “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer suggested that Aniston was just too old for him.

Even though he admitted to feeling sorry that his relationship with Aniston didn’t last, Mayer also said that he cannot change the fact that he was just 32 years old at that time.

Mayer also denied that Aniston split from him because of his excessive Twitter user. But the singer admitted that “The Morning Show” star saw his involvement in technology as a courting distraction.
