Jennifer Aniston Reveals ‘Complicated’ Reason Why Her Marriage To Brad Pitt Ended
Jennifer Aniston is still being linked to her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, even though they’ve been divorced for over a decade.
Rumors swirled that the former couple rekindled their romance after Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorced. However, this isn’t true. And by the looks of it, there’s no chance for Aniston and Pitt to get back together ever again.
During her interview with Vanity Fair, the “Murder Mystery” star that the reason for her and Pitt’s divorce was quite complicated. She also admitted that she was partly to be blamed for the fall out of their marriage.
“It’s just complicated, relationships are complicated. You’re two people continually evolving, and there will be times when those changes clash… There are all these levels of growth – and when you stop growing together, that’s when the problems happen,” she said.
While they were still married to each other, Pitt and Aniston had very busy working schedules. And as such, the couple struggled to maintain intimacy. In 2004, Aniston’s long-running sitcom, “Friends,” also wrapped up and she became very emotional about it.
But while her show was ending, Pitt was starting a new project with Jolie. Aniston felt that her ex-husband wasn’t there for her during that difficult time in her life.
Additionally, Aniston also said that she was the type of person that gave so much of herself to her partner since she’s a nurturer. But this wasn’t necessarily the right thing to do because she forgot about herself along the way.
“I love taking care of people, and I definitely put his needs before mine sometimes. It’s such an insidious thing, you don’t really see where it started – and where you ended… There’s no one to blame but yourself,” she said.
Pitt and Jolie first worked together in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” Shortly after, the two became a couple. At that time, Jolie said that she and Pitt were not looking for a relationship but things just progressed between them.
