Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Reunite, Attend Church Together With Kids
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck spent the weekend together with their kids.
On Sunday, the "Peppermint" actress and the "Justice League" actor were photographed with their children Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 5. The family attended a church service in Brentwood.
Affleck joined his family in a black t-shirt, black leather jacket and dark jeans. Meanwhile, Garner opted for a gray top and skirt combo. The celebrity mom paired her outfit with a black cardigan and dark shades.
Affleck arrived at the church on his motorcycle. The "Batman" actor was photographed hugging his daughter Seraphina, walking with Violet and petting Samuel's head.
This is not the first time that Affleck joined his ex and their kids for a church service. In January, Affleck and Garner also attended church together with their kids. A day prior, they were seen watching their 5-year-old son's basketball practice.
Affleck and Garner split in 2015 a day after their 10th wedding anniversary. Affleck's father, Timothy Affleck, believed that Hollywood was partly to blame for the actor's failed marriage.
"It has taken a toll on both my sons. Hollywood is a disgusting place. I think that's been a major factor in Ben's drinking. You're kind of forced to develop a persona that is hard to shed and go home to your family. It affects your whole life. I think that's one of the dangers of the film industry," Timothy told Grazia magazine.
Timothy added that the "Argo" actor struggled to balance his family with Garner and his global stardom. "It's very difficult to balance family life in the midst of global stardom. It's a hard, taxing life," Timothy continued. "In the world outside of the entertainment industry, marriages end all the time. It's as common as dishwater, it's nothing to dither about."
At the time, Affleck has already found a new woman. The "Pearl Harbor" actor is currently dating "Saturday Night Live" producer Lindsay Shookus. Meanwhile, Garner remains single, but the actress has been linked to her "Love, Simon" co-star, Josh Duhamel.
However, Duhamel and Garner's romance is unlikely. The latter already said that she's not seeing anyone.
"I haven't been on a date and I am not interested in dating," Garner told Entertainment Tonight in November. "People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No thank you!' I would not have chosen this life for myself or for my kids. I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It's something that we are working through."
