Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Reunite On Fourth Of July To Celebrate With Kids

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may not have worked as a couple, but the two exes are still family.

The “Batman” star and the “Alias” alum recently reunited to be with their three children on the Fourth of July and celebrate Independence Day as a family, Daily Mail reported. On Tuesday, the family was spotted in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. Seraphina, 6, and Sam, 5, joined Garner at the 5K Firecracker Run. Some photos showed the two kids jogging during the annual fun run. Violet, 11, did not join them, but she was there to cheer on her mom and siblings.

Garner, 45, was in her best shape, donning a black vest, black leggings and blue sneakers for the fun run. Meanwhile, Seraphina looked adorable in a t-shirt with stars and stripes, which she paired with white striped shorts and white sneakers. She also wore fluffy pink pom-pom ears on a band on her head. Sam looked equally cute in his gray and red striped tee, gray shorts and blue sneakers.

Garner showed her affection for her kids all throughout the festivities. She was photographed carrying Sam, smooching him and Violet and hugging Seraphina. In the afternoon, Affleck, 44, took over parenting duties and was spotted checking out the cotton candy stall with Violet, who held on to their golden retriever rescue dog.

Affleck and the kids later joined Garner in the beach chairs as they waited for the parade. The two exes happily chatted, proving that they remain amicable even after their split.

Garner and Affleck decided to call it quits a day after their 10th wedding anniversary in 2015. However, they remained good friends even after the split and continue to co-parent their children.

Earlier this year, rumors surfaced that the couple may have a chance of reconciling as a couple. And it almost happened back in February, when Garner reportedly called off the divorce to work things out with Affleck. “There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents,” a source told People.

However, in April, the pair finally decided to file for divorce. Both wanted legal and physical custody of their three children. They are still negotiating a financial settlement, but the divorce is expected to be finalized six months after the filing, TMZ reported.
