Jennifer Garner’s Boyfriend John Miller Reacts To Ben Affleck’s Candid Interview About Divorce: ‘Uncomfortable’

Jennifer Garner’s boyfriend was reportedly uncomfortable with Ben Affleck’s candid interview.

“The Way Back” actor got candid about his failed marriage and divorce with Garner in a recent interview with The New York Times. Affleck confessed that he didn’t expect to divorce his wife. In fact, it was his biggest regret.

A source close to the businessmen told Us Weekly that Garner’s current beau, John Miller, found the interview “uncomfortable.” Miller understands that Affleck and Garner have to work together as they co-parent their three children, but he wasn’t totally okay with his interview.

“John is empathetic to Ben’s struggles with sobriety, but he worries about how Jennifer has once again become the focus. … The spotlight on Jennifer is intense and Ben needs to consider her feelings before speaking so publicly,” the source said.

In his recent interviews, Affleck admitted that he didn’t expect his marriage to end in divorce.

“I never thought that I was gonna get divorced,” Affleck said. “I didn’t want to get divorced. I didn’t want to be a divorced person. I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children. And it upset me because it meant I wasn’t who I thought I was. And that was so painful and so disappointing in myself.”

Affleck recalled his drinking problem and how it caused more strain in his marriage with the “Miracles from Heaven” star. He admitted that his struggles with alcohol addiction led to the biggest regret of his life.

“The biggest regret of my life is this divorce,” Affleck continued. “Shame is really toxic. There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing.”

Prior to Affleck’s interview about his marriage with Garner, there were rumors that the celebrity mom of three was dumping Miller due to his jealousy over Affleck. Garner’s boyfriend reportedly doesn’t want Affleck to be around “so much” and she was willing to walk away from their relationship for the sake of her family.

Apparently, the report wasn’t true. Another source said that Miller has shown stable love and support to Garner and she has been thankful for that. Also, Miller wasn’t jealous and he’s fully aware of Garner’s commitment to helping her ex-husband.
