Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney are expecting their first child together.

The Oscar winner, 31, is pregnant. Her rep confirmed the happy news to People Wednesday.

Back in 2017, Lawrence wasn't interested in becoming a mom when she was promoting her American psychological horror film "Mother!"

"Not at all. They are actually getting less and less as I get older, which is starting to worry me. I don't think that's how it's supposed to work!" she told E! News when asked if she was feeling the pangs of motherhood because she was already 27 at the time.

"When I was 21 or 22 I was like, 'I can't wait to be a mother. Now I'm like...[shocked face]."

However, that changed when she met her husband. Lawrence and Maroney were first linked in June 2018. The "Hunger Games" star and the art gallery director were engaged the following February.

An unnamed source told Entertainment Tonight that the pair had an "instant connection" after they were introduced by mutual friends. The tipster described the New York City-based art gallerist as "down to earth" as well as "fun, super social and a really hard worker."

"When they were introduced last spring, the timing was perfect because they were both single and just enjoying an evening out with friends," the source told the outlet at the time. "Things couldn't have worked out any better because they have so much in common and truly hit it off. They both come from close-knit families, Cooke in Vermont and Jennifer in Kentucky, and then left and built successful careers. They both love to travel but also just enjoy just being alone together."

The source added that the "Joy" star's romance with Maroney was like a "fairy tale." There was an "instant attraction" between the pair that their friends teased them it was "love at first sight."

In June 2019, a source told ET that the couple was planning to have a family.

"They both want children and have been discussing starting a family," the source said. "Their families truly believe they are meant to be; his family loves her family and vice versa, so their parents are excited. Their parents get along so well and are all looking forward to big family get-togethers."

Lawrence and Maroney tied the knot on Oct. 19, 2019.
