Jennifer Lawrence Rumored To Be Dating ‘Black Swan’ Director Darren Aronofsky
Actress Jennifer Lawrence is said to dating film director Darren Aronofsky. The two were recently spotted having lunch together, igniting rumors that they might be an item.
Lawrence, who, at 26, is 21 years younger than Aronofsky, 47, worked with the director on an as-yet-untitled film during the past summer.
A source who spoke with The Sun (via the Daily Mail) said the “X-Men” star and “Black Swan” director have tried to keep their relationship a secret. “Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps but they are really into each other,” the insider told the publication.
“Recently Jennifer was working on a grueling project and she relied on Darren for support and they were in constant contact. It seemed to show they were the real deal,” the source said.
The film the two are working on, which also features Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson and Javier Bardem, is about a couple’s relationship being challenged by an unexpected quest.
Lawrence was most recently linked to Coldplay vocalist and songwriter Chris Martin. The two first dated from October 2014 to February 2015, and for a second time from May 2015 to August of that year. The cause of the breakup was Martin’s “being so noncommittal,” according to a source who spoke with E! News.
Prior to dating the musician, Lawrence was in a long-term relationship with fellow “X-Men” actor Nicholas Hoult. The two ended their five-year relationship in August 2014.
In a November 2015 interview with Diane Sawyer (via Yahoo News), Lawrence explained how the end of her relationship with Hoult affected her view of herself in terms of relationships. “I don't know if I ever will get married and I'm OK with that,” she said. “I don't feel that I need anything to complete me. I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something.”
The actress, however, said that she is sure of wanting to become a mother.
