Jennifer Lawrence Worried Kristen Stewart Will Steal Her Boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult: Report
There are rumblings of a new A-list feud on the horizon. Jennifer Lawrence, who only recently showed the world her love for her boyfriend, fellow actor Nicholas Hoult, at the Golden Globes earlier this month, is reportedly now in fear her of losing her relationship to another familiar face in Hollywood: “Twilight” star, Kristen Stewart.
According to a report from ShowbizSpy.com Monday, the 23-year-old “The Hunger Games" star is friendly with Stewart, but fearful that the actress might hit it off with Hoult on the set of their new film, “Equals.” "This is making Jennifer uneasy, to say the least,” revealed an insider, who claims that Stewart’s three-year romance with actor Robert Pattinson and affair with her married, British “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders in 2012 has Lawrence nervous due to Hoult’s British roots. “She doesn’t want to think the worst of Kristen, but her reputation precedes her…Considering Kristen’s history with British men, she’s the last person Jennifer wants to see kissing her boyfriend on the set,” said the insider.
According to the report, Lawrence was originally offered the role in “Equals,” a sci-fi film based off of the George Orwell novel “1984,” but turned down the part because it "didn't feel right." Following her departure from the film, Hoult, 24, reportedly signed on to the feature, followed by Stewart, who is set to star as the "Warm Bodies" actor's on-screen love interest. Despite the Hollywood A-listers cordial behavior, the gossip site claims that Lawrence is already planning to keep a watchful eye on her British hunk during filming due to Stewart's infamous wandering eye.
“Although Jennifer is busy with her super-hot career, she’s determined to make time to visit the ‘Equals’ set and keep a watch over Nick,” said the source, adding, “She doesn’t want to see her romance sabotaged.”
While Lawrence has yet to confirm or deny her reported anxiety over Hoult’s upcoming project, “Equals” screenwriter, Nathan Parker, hasn’t been shy about sharing details regarding the on-screen lovers special connection. “It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry,” Parker told the Associated Press. Parker also confirmed to AP earlier this month that Lawrence was a former contender for the part.
Lawrence first started dating Hoult in 2010 after meeting on the set of "X-Men: First Class." The pair, who split just weeks prior to Lawrence's Oscar win in 2013, rekindled their romance last spring on the set of the sci-fi sequel, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." The couple last made a public appearance together at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Jan. 12.
