Have they or have they not officially rekindled their romance? This is the question that bothered Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s fans after seeing the singer’s latest Instagram post.
Lopez, 51, has once again sparked breakup rumors after sharing a series of selfies on the photo-sharing platform Saturday. While the Hollywood star looked gorgeous and sporty in the photos, what caught the attention of her followers was the thing that’s missing from her hand — her engagement ring.
Some of her fans asked Lopez about it in the comments.
“The ring is gone?” one wrote.
“Beautiful but where is the engagement ring?” another added.
“Where is Alex [ring emoji]?” a third user inquired.
The selfies were taken on a staircase on the set of Lopez’s new movie, “Shotgun Wedding,” which she is currently filming in the Dominican Republic, as per Page Six.
The “Jenny from the Block” hitmaker could be seen sporting a number of bling in the photos, but her $1.8 million emerald cut diamond ring from Rodriguez, 45, was nowhere to be seen.
InStyle caught wind of Lopez’s post and said that it just fueled the speculations on whether or not the two are still together. It should be noted that Lopez also didn’t wear the engagement band in the photos she took for the magazine’s recent cover story.
Cosmopolitan’s Paulina Jayne Isaac expressed her concern in a report after seeing Lopez’s recent photos. “I’m still wondering whether or not she and A-Rod are still getting married,” she wrote before pointing out that “engaged people wear rings.”
In March, fans were shocked when it was reported that Lopez and the former professional baseball player had called it quits. However, the couple quickly shot down the reports when they issued a statement saying they were “working through some things” in their relationship.
Rodriguez was then spotted flying to the Dominican Republic to be with his girlfriend for a weekend getaway with just the two of them.
At the time, an unnamed source told People that it has been great for them to be able to spend time together.
“They both seem much happier. They are taking things slowly though. They still have a lot to figure out before their relationship is great again,” the source added, before noting that they “are far from planning a wedding again, but they are still engaged.”
