Jennifer Lopez 'Has Feelings' For Ben Affleck, Friendship Moving In 'Romantic Direction': Report

Things seem to be heating up between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck just weeks after her split from ex Alex Rodriguez, a report says.

"Bennifer" was one of the most iconic couples of the early 2000s, and after reports surfaced that Lopez and Affleck have been hanging out recently, fans have been hoping that they would get back together. Now, an unnamed insider told Us Weekly that though Lopez is not in a rush to take their friendship to the next level, she "has feelings" for Affleck.

"[She] has feelings for Ben. They are taking it slowly, but things are moving in a romantic direction," the source told the outlet. "She is focused on her kids and she’s working in Miami."

Affleck and Lopez, who starred together in 2003's "Gigli" and 2004's "Jersey Girl," spent the Mother's Day weekend together in Montana. According to the insider, she enjoyed their trip, but she "isn’t trying to rush into anything romantic." Affleck and Lopez are "still in contact" following their brief vacation, the source said.

"Jen really enjoyed her trip to Montana and is really loving Ben’s friendship," the insider added.

Lopez and Affleck's reunion made headlines shortly after she and Rodriguez announced last month that they are calling off their two-year engagement. Several outlets reported that Affleck visited Lopez at her home in Los Angeles several times since she returned to California from the Dominican Republic, where she filmed her upcoming movie "Shotgun Wedding."

They were not spotted in public together at the time, but her "security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house," Page Six reported in April, citing an unnamed source.

This was followed by the two being photographed together in an SUV near a resort in Big Sky, Montana, with Affleck behind the wheel and Lopez sitting beside him. They reportedly spent several days there last week and "looked very happy together."

"[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy," an unnamed source told People.

Affleck and Lopez met in 2002 on the set of "Gigli" and started dating shortly after. They got engaged in November of that year but postponed their 2003 wedding just days before they were set to exchange "I do's." In 2004, they officially announced their split.
