Jennifer Lopez Has A ‘J.Lo’ Inspired Nickname For Friend Joanna Gaines

Jennifer Lopez is expanding her celebrity friend group by welcoming in “Fixer Upper” star and designer Joanna Gaines

In Life & Style Magazine’s March 25 print issue, it is revealed that Lopez has befriended Gaines after hiring her to renovate her and fiancé Alex Rodriguez’s $6.6 million Malibu mansion.

While an insider said the two celebrities are “complete opposites,” it appears these opposites attract. Said a source, “They’ve become incredibly close and really enjoy hanging out together.”

So close, in fact, the “On The Floor” performer and “World of Dance” producer is said to have gifted her newfound friend a nickname based off her famous moniker. “J.Lo even jokingly calls Joanna J. Gaines,” an insider told the publication.

Lopez revealed last month during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that Rodriguez introduced her to Gaines by surprising her with a FaceTime call. “I totally fangirled out,” Lopez said.

Lopez and Gaines were spotted earlier this month viewing the oceanfront property. “Jennifer wanted to walk the space with Joanna in person. They’re both extremely busy, but it’s hard to take on any kind of home project without actually seeing the space,” a source told People Magazine.

ET Online reports that as of March 4, renovations on the property had yet to begin.
