Jennifer Lopez turned 42 on Sunday, and despite her pending divorce from Marc Anthony, the actress-turned-singer, spent the weekend partying in Miami.

The singer was seen with a party of 16 people, at Scarpetta's, at the Fontainebleau hotel, reports People.

"Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress," a source told People. "And when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours. They closed down the restaurant."

Lopez is also close to negotiating a deal for her return to "American Idol." Her initial contract expired in May, and was reported to be valued at $12 million.

The show is scheduled to return in January for its eleventh season.

In a statement, the couple went public with their decision to divorce, stating, "We have decided to end our marriage," they wrote to the press.

"This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

Thrice Married

And for J-Lo, the thrice married actress-turned-singer, and Anthony, divorce is something they've both been through before.

Lopez was previously married to Cuban-born Ojani Noa, followed by her former backup dancer, Cris Judd in 2001, but the marriage lasted only nine months. In 2004, Lopez married Marc Anthony. She has also had two high-profile relationship with Sean "Puffy" Combs (P Diddy) and Ben Affleck.

US magazine reported that Lopez told them that Sean Combs, who she dated before her marriage to Judd, cheated on her. She reportedly said, "He'd say he was going to a club for a couple of hours, then never come back that night. I didn't catch him, but I knew."

After Lopez ended the marriage with Cris Judd, she began dating Affleck. The actor gave Lopez a six carat pink diamond ring, which was reported to cost $1.2 million. The relationship didn't last longer than two years before the couple broke off the engagement.

Lopez and Affleck starred in "Gigli" together and received the press given name of "Bennifer."
