After months of anticipation, the big day is finally here for Jessa Seewald and her husband Ben now that they’ve welcomed their first child into the world. Just hours after their baby's arrival, the former “19 Kids and Counting” stars are sharing the first-ever look at the newest addition to the Duggar family collective.

The first snapshot comes exclusively to People, and shows the newborn baby boy wrapped in a blanket, seemingly sound asleep. Although the couple has yet to reveal the child’s name, the outlet reports that more information and photos will soon become available on the Seewald family’s personal website.

As E! News notes, Jessa took a page from her sister Jill Dillard's pregnancy book -- she delivered son Israel David in April -- by documenting the entire nine-month-long journey on Instagram. Throughout the last month, Jessa posted mirror selfies with captions like: “39 weeks 4 days! Feeling as big as a barn, and soooo ready to meet my baby! #BabySeewald.”

Jessa, 23, and Ben, 20, recently posted the results of a little fan poll they took about the pregnancy with regard to baby names. Although they’ve yet to release what they’ve decided to call their child, their fans’ top five front-runners for a baby boy name are, in order: Luke, Zachary, Sawyer, Noah and Benjamin.

It’s been an exciting year for the two Duggar sisters as they continue to shape and build their lives outside the world of reality TV. Their good fortune and baby news comes on the heels of several tumultuous months in which it came to light that the eldest son in Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's family, Josh Duggar, had been involved in a molestation scandal when he was younger. It was later revealed revealed that the abuse involved Jessa and Jill. Now, with Jill and her husband Derick Dillard off doing missionary work and Jessa and Ben beginning a new life as parents, all of their struggles seem to be behind them as exciting new adventures lie ahead.
