Is Jessica Biel Pregnant? Justin Timberlake Solo AMAs Appearance Prompts Pregnancy Rumors

Another Hollywood A-list couple may soon be adding a plus one to their coupledom. Following musician-actor Justin Timberlake’s solo appearance at the American Music Awards Sunday sans his wife, actress Jessica Biel, multiple reports and fans are alluding to the idea that the couple may be expecting their first child.

While the 31-year-old actress didn’t confirm nor deny reports that she is pregnant, the “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry“ star did stir up rumors that she may be carrying three-time American Music Award winner Timberlake’s child after failing to appear at the annual awards ceremony. When prompted by fans as to why she didn’t accompany her husband of one year on the AMAs red carpet, Biel responded on Twitter Sunday, saying, “I’m watching from home tonight. Calm down, internet.”

“@jtimberlake was at the @AMAs alone last night because @Jessica Biel was watching from home, PREGNANT” suggested Twitter user Sandra Saint G Monday, following the actress’s coy reasoning for being a no-show. Fellow Twitter user @ellothereAri shared similar sentiments, posting, “I know Jessica Biel is pregnant! She’s been M I the f—k A!!!!!”

The rumors follow a report from the National Enquirer last week in which a source reported that Biel asked Timberlake’s former 'N Sync bandmate Lance Bass to convince the “Mirrors” singer to allow her to have a child. According to the rumored report, Bass told Jessica, “I’ve known the dude for almost 20 years, and if you stay on him, I swear he’ll cave.” Allegedly, Timberlake, 32, is hesitant about starting a family with the movie star due to his desire to “enjoy the time they have together” before rushing to start a family.

This isn’t the first time rumors have circulated claiming that the former “7^th Heaven” star is a mom-to-be. In June, Star magazine reported that Biel was already with child and requested that her stylist fit her with bigger clothes to hide her burgeoning bump.

Biel previously dished about her plans to have children with the pop star during an August 2012 interview with InStyle magazine, confirming she would prefer to raise her future children outside of Hollywood. “I would like those future little people to have the experience I had in some capacity. It was fun,” said Biel when discussing her Colorado upbringing.

On Sunday, Timberlake walked away from the American Music Awards, an annual fan-voted awards show, with three wins. Timberlake won for best favorite male artist for pop/rock, soul/R&B, and favorite Soul/R&B album.
