Jessica Simpson Post-Baby Body: New Mom Shows Off Weight Loss After Giving Birth 6 Months Ago [PHOTO]
Entertainer-entrepreneur Jessica Simpson is showing off a slimmer body, six months after giving birth to her son Ace. The 33-year-old mother of two revealed her smaller waist and ample cleavage in a red-and-black floral dress at WWD’s Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York on Tuesday.
She paired the look with black Casadei pumps, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a black Giorgio Armani coat.
Last year, Simpson famously struggled to lose the reported 70 pounds she gained in her first pregnancy. There was a lot of pressure on her, especially since Weight Watchers offered her a rumored $4 million deal to lose the weight by a certain date.
On Katie Couric’s talk show “Katie,” Simpson spoke about her weight struggles at the time, stating, "I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water, and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down, but that did not happen. All the weight did not come out with the baby."
It took her many months to lose the weight -- and then she got pregnant again. This time around, however, she hired a personal chef to help her keep her weight on track. Now, she is gearing up for another shoot with Weight Watchers.
The Weight Watchers program works to help participants lose weight by changing their eating habits, having a support system, and incorporating exercise into their regimen. In 2010, they began a plan called “PointsPlus,” which entails members being assigned a daily point target in the range of 26-71 PointsPlus to consume each day. The goal is to create a calorie deficit leading to weight loss.
