Jessica Simpson Pregnant: Singer Finally Confirms News [PHOTOS]

Jessica Simpson is pregnant, and it's not a rumor.

After weeks of speculation, photos and even a bizarre report that the singer was asking for $500,000 to make the announcement, Simpson has finally confirmed the baby news -- on her own Web site.

It's True! I am going to be a mummy! she wrote on Halloween Monday.

In the spirit of Halloween, Simpson also attached several photos of herself dressed in a mummy costume.

Since late-September, rumors of Simpson's pregnancy have been swirling around Hollywood and beyond, as the star has been spotted at airports, hotels and retail stores wearing oversized clothing.

And until Monday, the 31-year-old has been teasing paparazzi and celebrity gossipmongers, rubbing and patting her baby bump in photographs and smiling from ear to ear.

As recently as Sunday, Simpson and her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, were spotted leaving an office building in Beverly Hills. Simpson can be seen rubbing her belly in several of the photos.

Simpson and Johnson, 32, have been engaged since November 2010.

The best thing about Eric is that he's just really thoughtful and he keeps me very centered. And always makes me feel like my feet are on the ground and is probably the most special part of my life, Simpson told People at the time of the engagement.

I said yes and we both definitely were teary-eyed. I didn't even try the ring on until like, five minutes in. I was so shocked, just kind of sat there and cried with him . . . he did good, she added.

Simpson was previously married to singer Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2005. The pair, who officially divorced in 2006, starred in three seasons of the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. This is the same show where Simpson famously asked if Chicken of the Sea brand tuna was chicken or fish?

Simpson first rose to fame in 1999 with her debut album, Sweet Kisses, which went on to sell more than 4 million copies worldwide.

In recent years, the Texas native has become somewhat of a businesswoman, thanks to her line of hair and beauty products, her fashion line The Jessica Simpson Collection (handbags, shoes, jeans) and her fragrance line.

In October, Simpson launched a promotional campaign for skincare company BeautyMint.

It's a project that's very close to my heart, and we've been working on it for some time! the singer wrote on her Web site.

Simpson has yet to announce her due date or the sex of her baby.

This is the first child for Simpson and Johnson.
