Jessie James Decker, Eric Decker Both Forgot Their Wedding Anniversary
Country music star Jessie James Decker married NFL star Eric Decker in June 2013, and now two years later both forgot their wedding anniversary. Jessie told E! News during the launch of the "DQ Bakes!" menu on Monday, about almost missing the special day.
It seems the two are not a sentimental couple. "We're not as sentimental as people would think. We both forgot it was our anniversary today," Decker shared. "My mom was the one who was, like, 'It's y'alls anniversary!' and I was like, 'Oh, happy anniversary babe,' and he was like 'Oh, me too. I'll plan a dinner.' We suck at that stuff."
Jessie is not worried about it, though. She said both she and Eric -- a wide receiver with the New York Jets -- consider each day an anniversary. "It's because every day we celebrate. We honestly do. We don't really focus on one day. Every single day is a celebration for us and I know it sounds cheesy but it really is," she explained.
Jessie and Eric are expecting their second child, as well as raising their 1-year-old daughter Vivianne. The "Blue Jeans" singer attended a baby shower that her sister Sydney Rae James threw in her honor. Us Weekly reported that Sydney arranged a sports-themed house party on Saturday and invited several of Jessie’s girlfriends. The 27-year-old mother-to-be shared pics of the baby shower in Instagram, with one snap showing Jessie holding a blue cake with a football topper. She captioned it: "My beautiful shower for baby boy."
The couple even have a name already picked out for their son, People reported. “We picked out a name. We already knew the names before we even knew the sex of the baby so we had both names picked out for a girl and a little boy. I’m not sharing the name yet, but we definitely [picked it out early], even with Vivianne,” Jessie said.
The Deckers expect to welcome their baby boy in September.
