Jinger Duggar's Baby Girl's Name Has A Special Meaning
The infamous Duggar family grew on Sunday night after Jinger Duggar, now Jinger Vuolo, gave birth to a baby girl.
The TLC "Counting On" star and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, announced on Wednesday that they had welcomed their healthy baby into the world, making this their second child.
The little girl weighed in at seven pounds and is healthy. Jinger, 26, is recovering very well, too, according to a statement from the family.
Their new daughter, Evangeline Jo, was born “quickly and safely,” according to TODAY Parents. This child joins the couple's 2-year-old daughter Felicity.
As for the meaning behind the moniker, the couple explained that Evangeline means “good news” and Jo comes from Jeremy’s middle name, which is Joseph. BabyNames and NameBerry offer a similar definition for the first name, revealing it stands for "messenger of good news" and "bearer of good news," respectively.
Felicity is said to be “in love” with her new baby sister. Jinger first explained how special sisterly bonds are in her pregnancy announcement in May.
"The bond that sisters share is unique, and one I cherish every day. After all these years, they’re still my best friends! I’m glad God’s giving that gift for Felicity to enjoy. As for me and Jeremy, we’ll definitely have our hands full! But there’s nothing else we’d rather carry," she wrote.
The arrival of Jinger and Jeremy's second baby comes nearly six months after she revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in fall 2019. A day after making the pregnancy announcement to her family, Jinger and Jeremy found out they had lost their baby.
The Duggar family alone has 19 children and 19 grandchildren with another on the way to make 20. Jinger was child No. 6 six for her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
