Joe Giudice Criticized For Letting Eldest Daughter Gia Wear 'Skimpy' Clothing: 'Too Revealing'
KEY POINTS
- Joe Giudice shared a photo with his eldest daughter Gia on Instagram
- Gia's revealing top in the snap caught the attention of many
- Fans debated whether her outfit was appropriate for her age or not
Joe Giudice's parenting got questioned when he shared a snap of him and his eldest daughter, Gia, while the latter wore a "too revealing" outfit.
Over the weekend, the 50-year-old former reality star took to Instagram to share a photo he took with Gia, 21, when she visited him in the Bahamas. In the snap, the two posed in front of an illuminated water fountain with big smiles.
However, the post sparked a debate among Joe's fans and followers after noticing the attention-grabbing outfit Gia was sporting. The white top she had showed a bit of cleavage and her midriff since it was designed to look like a bra with puffy sleeves. She paired it with a white skirt.
"Dress [too] revealing at the top [in my opinion], such beauties need not advertise the entire package," one wrote.
"That's the way women dress in the islands on vacation. Guess [you] don't like bikinis either," another responded.
"Again, a bit too skimpy for a sub 21 [in my opinion], wouldn't let my daughter do it, but I am Latina, and we are not so liberal," the first commenter quickly replied.
A different netizen asked if Gia forgot to wear her shirt for the outing. Another wondered how Joe allowed his daughter to wear the outfit.
Despite the backlash, many came to Joe and Gia's defense. They said there was nothing wrong with Gia's top.
"Beautiful girl, can't see anything wrong with her dress, it's age-appropriate, nothing spilling out anywhere," one fan stated.
"There is nothing wrong with this picture, people," another chimed in.
Last month, Gia visited her dad in Nassau and spent the week with him while she was on vacation. The father and daughter even showcased their special bonding moments on social media.
By the end of her trip, Gia admitted that she got emotional when it was time for her to say goodbye to her dad.
Joe has been staying in the Bahamas since he got deported to his home country, Italy, in 2019. His daughters with ex-wife Teresa Giudice — Gia, Gabriella, 18, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 13 — visit him from time to time.
Earlier this month, Joe posted a meaningful message for his daughters on Instagram.
"Telling my children I love them isn't a habit. It is my constant reminder to them that they are the best thing that has ever happened to me," read the note he shared. In his caption, he reiterated that his kids "are my life."
