Joe Giudice has nothing but well-wishes for his newlywed ex-wife, Teresa Giudice.
Teresa tied the knot with Luis Ruelas in a lavish wedding Saturday. Her ex-husband shared his thoughts about Teresa finding new love and forever with another man.
"I'm very happy for her. She deserves all the happiness in the world," Joe, 50, told Us Weekly Monday. "I think Lou is a good guy. Anything negative being said out there are just rumors that I don't engage in. Until I personally discover otherwise, he's OK in my book."
Joe added that there was no need to compare Teresa's wedding with him and Ruelas since they were "equally as special and beautiful in their own unique ways." Joe even complimented the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" for her appearance on her big day.
"Teresa looked like a princess," Joe said.
Joe and Teresa share four daughters, Gia, 21, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12. They all served as her bridesmaids on her special day with Ruelas.
"We talk every day. Everyone is happy," Joe said about his relationship with his children.
As for Teresa's brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga missing her wedding, Joe said he wasn't surprised. According to Teresa's ex-husband, the two "are unpredictable," before adding he wished Ruelas "luck with his in-laws."
According to unnamed insiders who spoke with People, Melissa and Joe initially planned to attend Teresa's wedding until an incident happened on Thursday. There was tension while filming Bravo's "RHONJ" Season 13, prompting the couple to skip Teresa and Ruelas' wedding.
One insider claimed that false rumors were spreading about the Gorgas' marriage, and they suspected Teresa was involved.
"Teresa betrayed them in a way that's unforgivable," one source told the outlet. "They're not going to celebrate Teresa's new marriage when all she does is try to tear apart theirs."
Another claimed that Joe and Melissa wanted to protect themselves from Teresa amid the alleged attacks happening for years.
"They just want to find peace, especially for their three children," the second source claimed. "Melissa and Joe's efforts to make family a priority with Teresa are exhausted. Sometimes removing the toxic energy from your life is the only way forward."
Teresa and Joe previously tied the knot in 1999. In March 2019, the "Celebrity Apprentice" alum hinted at a possible split in "RHONJ" Season 9, saying their marriage would be over if Joe would be deported. He was forced to leave the country and relocate to his home country, Italy, that October, months after pleading guilty to 41 counts of fraud.
He filed for an appeal over the deportation, but it got denied, leaving Joe heartbroken. The couple split and officially ended their 20-year marriage when they finalized their divorce in September 2020. Shortly after, Teresa started dating her now-husband, Ruelas.
