Why Melissa And Joe Gorga Did Not Attend Teresa Giudice's Wedding to Luis Ruelas: Report

Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga skipped his sister and brother-in-law Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas' wedding Saturday after the bride allegedly attempted to tear the couple apart, a report has claimed.

Joe and Melissa had been planning on attending the wedding up until Thursday night when the couple had a blowout with Giudice and Ruelas during the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" Season 13 taping, People reported, citing two unnamed insiders.

False rumors about Melissa and Joe's marriage reportedly surfaced as they were taping the upcoming season. Giudice's alleged involvement in the matter and Ruelas' behavior during their argument made the Gorgas cancel their plans to attend the nuptials, the report claimed.

"Teresa betrayed them in a way that's unforgivable," one source told the outlet. "They're not going to celebrate Teresa's new marriage when all she does is try to tear apart theirs."

The source said that it was "telling" that Giudice "didn't have one relative at her wedding," noting that the 50-year-old reality star's estranged cousins Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri were not present during the ceremony as well.

"But that's the choice Teresa made," the insider added.

However, another source told People that the Gorgas' decision to skip Giudice's wedding was due to their desire to protect themselves from the ongoing "attacks" they've received from Giudice over the years.

"Viewers will see, but after the continued attacks, it's clear the healthiest thing for Joe and Melissa to do is walk away," the second insider said. "They just want to find peace, especially for their three children."

The source continued, "Melissa and Joe's efforts to make family a priority with Teresa are exhausted. Sometimes removing the toxic energy from your life is the only way forward."

Reps for the Gorgas, as well as Giudice and Ruelas, did not respond to the outlet's requests for comment.

Giudice and Ruelas tied the knot in a lavish ceremony held on the 15-acre grounds of Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Giudice's four daughters with ex-husband Joe, Gia, 21, Gabriella, 18, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 13, served as her bridesmaids, along with "RHONJ" co-stars Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin, Page Six reported.

Although her brother and sister-in-law were not present, Giudice's Bravo co-stars and friends were in attendance during the nuptials. Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley of "New York City," Alexia Echevarria of "Miami" and Chanel Ayan of "Dubai," as well as comedian Loni Love, were among the guests spotted at the event.

The wedding was reportedly filmed for a Bravo special that will likely air after they wrap up filming Season 13.
