Teresa Giudice is tying the knot soon with her fiancé Luis Ruelas, but she will not be sharing the intimate ceremony with "Real Housewives of New Jersey" viewers.
The soon-to-be bride confirmed to Page Six that her upcoming wedding to Ruelas will not be filmed for the Bravo reality show. But she teased that a special is not necessarily off the table.
"Definitely not on ‘Housewives of New Jersey," Giudice told the outlet at Maimonides Health's third annual Battle for Brooklyn charity softball game on June 29.
Asked if she would consider allowing it to be featured in a standalone episode, the 50-year-old reality star didn't give a direct response and instead teased, "I don’t know. We’ll see."
In April, unnamed sources familiar with the situation told the outlet that Giudice was "on the fence" about filming her nuptials, which are scheduled to take place in August while she is filming Season 13 of her reality series.
In an episode of the "Behind The Velvet Rope" podcast in the same month, "RHONJ" alum Kim DePaola claimed that Ruelas was unhappy about the negativity surrounding his newfound fame. Since he began dating Giudice in 2020, the businessman has endured numerous negative headlines, including allegations that he was "sex-obsessed," was abusive in past relationships and had legal troubles over questionable business practices.
DePaola speculated at the time that the groom may be "getting cold feet a little bit."
Regardless of whether or not their big day would be televised, wedding planning has been going "great," according to Giudice. She admitted to Page Six that she was "nervous" but also "excited" about their nuptials.
"When you’re planning a big event, you want everything to go well, but I’m excited, of course. Can’t wait to go on our honeymoon [to] Europe," she added.
Giudice previously shared that Ruelas has been actively involved in the wedding planning — unlike her first nuptials in 1999. She was previously married to Joe Giudice.
"Luis is involved with me, and I love that. We’re doing it together, so it’s not just me," she told Page Six in May. "I remember my first wedding; I did it by myself. But [Luis is] involved, and I love that."
She and Joe were married for 20 years. Their divorce was finalized in September 2020, nine months after they announced their separation. They share four daughters, Gia, 21, Gabriella, 18, Milania, 16, and Audriana, 12.
Giudice and Ruelas went public with their romance in November 2020 and got engaged in October last year.
