John David Duggar Courting Rumors: '19 Kids And Counting' Star's Relationship Status Revealed
John David, the second oldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, is not in a courtship and is still single, E! News reported Friday. The “19 Kids and Counting” reality-TV star sparked courting rumors earlier this week after he was spotted with a mystery woman, OK! magazine reported at the time.
The Duggar family had a number of weddings in recent months and, after the 24-year-old twin brother of Jana Duggar was photographed with an unidentified woman, there was speculation that another marriage may be on the cards for the Duggars.
"John is not courting and not in a relationship... and he has never been in one! Just thought we'd set that straight. He's still waiting for the right one at the right time,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar said, according to Christian Today.
The family also reportedly revealed on their blog that Jim Bob “has tried multiple times to find someone for John.”
John David opened up about his personal life with People magazine earlier this month. “I am such an expert in love and marriage,” he joked to the magazine. “Everybody is giving me advice about getting married. It isn’t a big thing. I’m open to advice.”
Jim Bob had also spoken out about his children’s marriage saying: "I do not choose who my children marry.”
"Over the years, I have suggested guys to my daughters or we have had a lot of guys that approach us and are interested in this girl or that girl, but each of our girls have chosen their spouse on their own,” the 50-year-old told People magazine.
Earlier this month Jessa Duggar, 22, married her now husband Ben Seewald, 19 and the pair are celebrating their honeymoon in Paris, France. Michelle and Jim Bob’s second eldest daughter, Jill, 23, married Derick Dillard, 25, in June and the couple is expecting their first child together, a boy, this spring. Josh, 26, has three kids with his wife Anna and there have been speculations that they could welcome a fourth child soon.
