'John Wick' Director Says Making 10 More Installments Would Be 'Awesome'

Director Chad Stahelski is all set to release the fourth installment of the popular "John Wick" franchise. The director admitted during an interview with Collider that he would also consider making 10 more installments of the action-thriller franchise.

The 53-year-old director was asked if he would like to make 10 more John Wick films and the director responded positively, "It'd be awesome."

He also explained how the schedule of the movies takes place and what he will be doing after "John Wick: Chapter 4," which is slated to release on March 24, 2023.

"When you start thinking about other projects, there are at least half a dozen projects that we’re attached to in development that I think are fantastic," he explained. "Love them all, and would love to do them all."

"There are a lot of components that go into your schedule. Love to do those other shows, but also, whatever it takes to work with Keanu (Reeves) again," he continued. "Right now, we're just seeing the finish line, so we're trying to get through this one, and if it expands out from there, always happy to talk about it."

Stahelski noted that before starting any other installment of "John Wick," he'd like to take a "little break" and work on other projects so that he can "learn and experiment."

"I think it's really good to do a Wick, then go learn and experiment on others and bring that knowledge back to Wick," he said. "So it could be good to take a little break, as I see it."

The director revealed how Reeves has "got some new skill sets" and "some new props" for the upcoming installment. He also praised the stunt teams across the world that helped them to put the movie's action pieces together.

Stahelski also shared that all these stunt teams were from different countries including French, Japanese and Bulgarian.

"They all have a little bit of flavor of motion, and I think that helps change the set pieces as well," he added. "When you get all these different experts and different martial arts, it forces us to adapt the choreography to show different things. It's fun."
