JoJo Siwa, Girlfriend Kylie Prew Split After 'DWTS' Star's Cryptic Instagram Post: Report

JoJo Siwa is single as she and her girlfriend Kylie Prew have reportedly called it quits.

Siwa, 18, and Prew, 18, split after less than a year of dating, an unnamed source confirmed to Us Weekly.

"JoJo and Kylie did break up," the insider said. "Some ['Dancing With the Stars'] cast are aware [of] the breakup."

Siwa has not publicly confirmed the split, but according to Us Weekly's source, the two went their separate ways two weeks ago. While Siwa is heartbroken, the "Dance Moms" alum has been doing her best to put on a good show every week on "DWTS," the insider said.

"Kylie stopped attending the show so she hasn’t been seen in the audience since they split," the source added. "JoJo is focusing on the competition and giving her all. While it’s a rough time for her, she’s handling 'DWTS' very professionally and still putting on a smile and giving 100%. She doesn’t want to let down her fans."

The insider noted that while Siwa has become very close with her "DWTS" partner Jenna Johnson, the 27-year-old "So You Think You Can Dance" alum had "nothing to do" with the split. According to the tipster, Johnson is just like a big sister to Siwa.

Siwa may have hinted at the split on social media earlier this month. In a cryptic Instagram post on Oct 8, the YouTuber alluded to going through difficult moments in her personal life.

"This has been a WEEK. My brain has never been so overwhelmed/overloaded with not only work but also personal life," Siwa wrote alongside a series of photos and videos from a rehearsal for "DWTS," without going into detail about the difficulties in her personal life.

According to Siwa, they had two shows that week, which also meant double the work. But despite the demands of her participation, the young dancer said she was glad to be part of "DWTS" Season 30.

"This week of my life has taught me SO much. Live in the moment. Smile however you can," she continued. "Whatever it takes to be happy, do it. My brain is dead, my knees are bruised, and my puppy is cute. That’s what is coming to my mind right now!"

She continued, "Even though this week has been one of the hardest in my life for so many different reasons, it’s also been one of the best."

Siwa and Prew started dating on Jan. 8, but they had been friends for over a year before they became official, Seventeen reported. They dated for nine months before they reportedly split.

In February, Siwa shared a clip of them on TikTok to celebrate their first month as a couple. "I did it!! My human. It’s been 1 month since my best friend asked me to be her girlfriend, and it’s been the best month ever. I love you," she wrote.
