Jon Hamm, Jenny Slate Dating? Source Says They’re Just ‘Friendly’ After Being Spotted On Movie Date

Jon Hamm and Jenny Slate may be spending a lot of quality time together, but they are definitely not dating.

Last week, the “Mad Men” actor and “The Secret Life of Pets” star were spotted coming out of a movie theater together in New York City. Hamm and Slate are both single, so many wondered whether the two could be changing that soon with each other.

However, a source told People that Hamm, 46, and Slate, 35, are just “friendly.” The two stars recently worked together on a project and are set to appear in the new drama, “Aardvark,” in which Zachary Quinto and Sheila Vand are also part of the cast.

Although the two stars have not yet addressed the dating rumors, they have been spotted on a number of occasions together this year. Esquire also shared a few photos of Hamm and Slate posing for photographs at parties. And while sources said Hamm and Slate are just friends, many seem to be rooting for them and hoping that they will take their relationship to the next level. According to the publication, the pair should date because “the world needs a good love story.”

Speaking of a good love story, Slate used to date “Captain America” star Chris Evans. The pair split earlier this year, but they remain good friends. In fact, in different interviews, the “Zootopia” actress and the “Avengers” actor have said nothing but praises for each other.

In one interview, Evans admitted that Slate is his favorite person. “She’s my favorite human,” said the “Before We Go” star. “She’s so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she’s incredibly compassionate, there’s just nothing to not love about her.”

Likewise, Slate said she thinks of Evans as a vulnerable and straightforward man with a big heart. She admitted that it was wonderful to be around him and even described the actor’s heart as “golden-colored” if one could paint it.

Slate also admitted that she couldn’t believe she was Evans’ type at first. She initially thought that him asking her out was a prank, considering that the “Avengers: Infinity War” star dated the likes of Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly. “To be quite honest, I didn’t think I was his type. Eventually, when it was like, ‘Oh, you have these feelings for me?’ I was looking around like, ‘Is this a prank?’” Slate said.

Meanwhile, Hamm dated Jennifer Westfeldt for five years before they split up back in 2015. Earlier this year, the “Mad Men” star was spotted with a mystery woman, Just Jared reported.
