Is Josh Duggar Hiding More Secrets? Family Reportedly Waiting For Another Scandal
Josh Duggar has proven he has quite a few secrets. After it was revealed he had molested several young girls as a teenager, his family’s TLC reality-television show “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled and he lost his position with the Family Research Council. Just a few months later, he entered rehab after it was discovered that he had a porn addiction and was seeking an affair through the Ashley Madison online site. However, these may not be Duggar’s only secrets -- at least his family doesn’t think so.
“It’s all so sad, and at this point, who knows what else will come to light?” a source close to the family told Entertainment Tonight.
Dillon King, who will soon be a member of the family when he marries Amy Duggar, recently revealed he is expecting more mistresses to come forward. “Oh, I’m sure it’s not just the one person,” King told In Touch Weekly, as reported in its Sept. 14 print issue.
Many Duggar family members are worried because they didn’t even know about the molestation scandal. “The molestations were completely shocking to the extended family,” Entertainment Tonight’s source said.
After Josh Duggar as a teenager molested several young girls, including sisters Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and Jill (Duggar) Dillard, it appears the family kept his actions a secret. Their cousin, Amy Duggar, admitted she wasn’t aware of Josh Duggar’s past until the press reported it. “I didn’t know about it,” she told People last month. “It took me by surprise.”
Amy Duggar also didn’t know why Josh Duggar had been sent away when his parents arranged for him to get therapy. “I knew that he did go away for a little bit, but I didn’t know why,” she said. She added she was never abused by the eldest Duggar son.
The Duggars aren’t just waiting to hear about Josh Duggar’s next wrongdoing, they’re still celebrating the good things, such as Amy Duggar’s wedding. “Everything with Josh was like a death in the family,” ET’s source said. “They’re hoping Amy’s wedding can be an escape -- a much-needed day of happiness.”
