Joss Whedon, the showrunner of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” has been described as an ‘egomaniac’ by two of his former crew members for telling them that nobody would hire them after disagreeing on set.

In an interview with Metro, stunt coordinator Jeff Pruitt and his wife Sophia Crawford opened up about their working relationship with the “Avengers” helmer. They told a story about how a “humble writer” (Whedon) went on to become a person who believed his own hype.

Pruitt noted that he and Whedon had a “great” relationship when they started the series. But as soon as the show took off, Whedon’s behavior changed and he turned into an egomaniac.

“We had a great relationship, Joss and I, but he changed as the show took off. He went from the humble writer who used to turn to me for ways to shoot fight scenes into a real egomaniac who believed his own hype,” Pruitt told the publication.

Pruitt also noted that he was “fed up” with all the politics that was going around the set and decided to leave the show. He was called back for the fifth season. However, things did not work out and he left the show once again.

“By season four I’d become fed up and told them I was going to leave to direct Second Unit on another series. The producers told me that Joss reacted as if I was having an affair or something behind his back,” Metro quoted Pruitt, as saying.

Meanwhile, his wife told the media outlet that Whedon asked her to end her relationship with Pruitt if she wanted to continue working on the hit show.

Crawford, who played stunt double for Sarah Michelle Gellar in the series, revealed that she was called into the office and was told to leave Pruitt. She then said that she left the office because the whole situation was pretty “horrible” for her.

"I really loved ‘Buffy,’ but honestly Joss and Jeff had a bit of a falling out. And I’m sure it should have been resolved, could have been resolved, if they’d have just talked it over. But I was called into the office and I was given an ultimatum. And they said to me, ‘Come back to the show, but you need to leave Jeff, or don’t come back.’ And so I basically started crying. And I said,‘F you. That’s horrible, bye,’” Crawford said during the interview.

The couple’s revelation comes almost two weeks after “Justice League” actor Ray Fisher criticized the filmmaker for his alleged “abusive” behavior on the set of the movie. Taking it to Twitter, the 32-year-old actor revealed that Whedon was highly “unprofessional” on the set and called his behavior completely “unacceptable.”

“Joss Wheadon's on-set treatment of the cast and crew of ‘Justice League’ was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Accountability>Entertainment,” Fisher wrote on Twitter.
