Journey 2: The Mysterious Island premiered on Thursday in Los Angeles.

The characters in the adventure film get down and dirty as they trudge their way through an unusual island.

But the actors proved they can still clean up quite nicely.

Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical fame opted for a long, canary yellow dress. She also looked quite cozy with her new squeeze, actor Austin Butler, who starred with Hudgens' BFF Ashley Tisdale in the HSM spinoff, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure.

Josh Hutcherson, who starred in Journey to the Center of the Earth, reprised his role as Sean Anderson. He looked quite dapper in a suit and tie. Hutcherson has quite a year ahead of him: he stars in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' book, The Hunger Games, playing the role of Peeta Mellark.

Other Journey stars at the premiere include Kristin Davis, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and funnyman Luis Guzman.

Rachel McAdams was not in the movie, but she showed up at the premiere and looked lovely just the same in a blue skirt and shirt ensemble.
