Joy-Anna Duggar And Husband Austin Forsyth Announce Second Pregnancy And Baby's Gender

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are indeed expecting their second child. The couple announced the pregnancy on Instagram on Wednesday with a photo showing off “The 19 Kids and Counting” alum’s baby bump.

“Yes... it’s true! @austin4site and I are PREGNANT again,” she captioned the post with heart eyes and a baby emoji. “Ahhh!!! It’s been quite the crazy journey these last few months, but we are so thankful that mom and baby are healthy! We will give a more detailed update soon, but for now, go to our YouTube channel to find out the GENDER and to watch this journey we’ve been on!”

In the YouTube video, the TLC personalities revealed that their baby girl is due in August.

"I could not believe it. I just started crying. I didn't even know what to say," Joy-Anna recalled. "We're super excited, nervous and thankful all at the same time."

Joy-Anna and Austin, 26, wed in May 2017 and welcomed their now 2-year-old son Gideon in 2018. In May 2019, the “Counting On” stars announced that she was pregnant again to Us Weekly.

“Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member,” the couple told the outlet at the time. “Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for four sounds perfect!”

Unfortunately, in July, at 20-weeks pregnant, Joy-Anna went to the doctor’s for an ultrasound and discovered she’d had a miscarriage.

“We named her Annabell Elise,” the reality star captioned the Instagram post at the time. “Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies.’ What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus. Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well.”

The good news comes just close to nine months after this devastating loss.
