Joy-Anna Duggar Lands A Job, Explores Career In Politics During Austin Forsyth Courtship
Joy-Anna Duggar is all grown up. Just two months after announcing her courtship with longtime friend Austin Forsyth, it has now been revealed that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s ninth eldest has landed a job.
According to the Duggar Family Blog, which is run by friends of the “Counting On” family, Joy-Anna is working at the Arkansas State Capitol. The 19-year-old is reportedly interning at the Arkansas House of Representatives in Little Rock alongside her 18-year-old brother Jedidiah Duggar.
While the Duggar family hasn’t spoken out about Joy and Jedidah’s internship, they haven’t been quiet about her romance with Austin. In November, the family announced during the “Counting On” Season 2 finale that Joy and Austin were officially dating. In a video for TLC, the couple revealed they had been friends for almost 15 years before Austin proposed an official courtship.
A scene from his proposal was featured in the latest “Counting On” trailer. “I can’t believe you!” Joy says to Austin with a big smile on her face. “I love surprises.”
Austin and Joy’s courting process will continue in Season 3 of “Counting On,” airing Tuesdays on TLC. In the meantime, the Duggars have been updating viewers every step of the way on their Facebook fan page.
After it was revealed that Joy took Austin as her date to sister Jinger Duggar’s wedding in November, the family posted photos of the young couple sharing a meal in honor of Austin’s 23rd birthday.
“We had a great time going on our double date with you and Joy this weekend,” Michelle and Jim Bob captioned a shot of the outing. “We are going the time we are getting to spend with you and you as Joy court, and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in-store for you and our sweet Joy!”
Most recently, the Duggars shared that Joy was spending some time with her brother Jeremiah Duggar learning plumbing work.
