Joy-Anna Duggar’s Boyfriend Austin Forsythe Predicts Jessa Seewald’s Baby Gender

It appears Austin Forsythe is quickly becoming a member of the Duggar family. Joy-Anna Duggar’s boyfriend made an appearance in a TLC.com video this week. The clip shows members of the “Counting On” clan guessing the gender of Jessa and Ben Seewald’s second baby, and Austin gives his prediction.

“It’s definitely either a boy or a girl,” Austin quips in the online segment. While Joy isn’t shown sharing her prediction for her older sister’s child, she does laugh and smile as Austin gives his answer.

Other members of the Duggar family were more precise in their guesses. “I’ve said from the beginning I think it’s a girl,” Jana Duggar shared. Jinger Duggar’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, shared a similar opinion. “It’s a girl,” he said definitely, revealing he guessed Jessa and Ben’s son’s Spurgeon’s gender correctly. Meanwhile Jeremiah Duggar noted it would be “neat to see Jessa and Ben with a little baby girl.”

Jill and Derick Dillard, who are also expecting their second baby, decided to play it safe. “I guess a boy,” Jill said before Derick followed with, “I’ll guess girl. That way we’re right either way.”

Like their first baby, who they welcomed in November 2015, Jessa and Ben have decided to keep their baby’s gender a secret until his or her arrival.

“Ben and I actually know the gender of our baby but we haven’t told anybody,” Jessa admitted in the clip. “We did the same thing with our last baby. We kept it a secret. My family doesn’t really care for it... But we have fun keeping it a surprise.”

While they didn’t reveal the gender in the sit-down, their outfits may hint at the child’s sex. Ben can be seen wearing a pinkish colored top in the interview while Jessa sported a flowered pink scarf.

Baby Seewald is due next month.
