‘Counting On’ Season 3, Episode 2 Synopsis Teases Duggar Pregnancy Shocker In ‘Could It Be Twins?’

The “Counting On” Season 3 trailer teases the idea that Jessa Seewald could be expecting twins. The mystery will continue in next week’s installment.

TLC’s title for episode 2 reveals viewers could be in store for big news when “Could It Be Twins?” airs on Monday, Jan. 23. The synopsis doesn’t offer any clues, only revealing Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald will attending a concert for their friend Flame while “expecting baby No. 2.”

Of course, the “Counting On” trailer offers some more insight. In the promo, Jessa can be seen getting a pregnancy checkup from her sister, midwife Jill Dillard. “We don’t know if its twins or just one,” Jessa says. After listening to the baby’s heartbeat, Jill concludes it could either be “the same baby with just good variability in the heartbeat or it could be two different babies.”

A video from Jessa’s baby shower, however, debunks the idea Jessa and Ben will soon to be parents to three children. “We’re excited for the Seewalds getting a new little one,” Jessa’s sister Jana Duggar says. As for her Jessa’s other female siblings, they did not comment on the possibility of twins, only stating that they predict she will have a girl.

Jessa, who is choosing to keep the baby’s gender a secret, is due to give birth next month. The child (or children) will join Jessa and Ben’s 1-year-old son Spurgeon.

Elsewhere in episode 2, Jinger Duggar will continue wedding planning and finalizing “important details.” The premiere saw Jinger try on wedding gowns with her sisters in tow. Viewers already saw her walk down the aisle to now-husband Jeremy Vuolo in last year’s finale.

“Counting On” Season 3, episode 2 premieres on Monday, Jan. 23, at 9 p.m. EST on TLC. A re-run of the episode will air at 11:01 p.m. EST on the network.
