Jana Duggar Needs A Husband, ‘Counting On’ Fans Complain To Family On Her Birthday

Jana Duggar celebrates her 27th birthday on Friday and in honor of the celebration her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, put out a special Facebook post. Jana and her twin brother, John-David Duggar, were both praised for their positive attributes on the family’s account.

“We were so excited to receive a double blessing with our first set of twins 27 years ago,” Jim Bob and Michelle wrote before praising Jana, their eldest daughter, for her shining personality.

“Jana, you are such a wonderful, beautiful, sweet, virtuous woman. You have such a loving heart and continually show kindness to everyone you encounter. We love the woman you’ve become.”

Meanwhile John-David, the couple’s second eldest son, was praised for being “strong, patient, humble and responsible.” “We so appreciate that we can depend on you,” wrote the pair.

While most fans of the family’s “Counting On” reality series wished the twins a happy birthday in the comments, others shared their thoughts on their relationship status. “Too bad they’re still single,” wrote one fan. “She needs a husband, she’s beautiful inside and out,” wrote another.

Duggar fans have been waiting for Jana to get into a relationship for years. While Jana is the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 children, several of her sisters have beat her down the aisle. Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald both married in 2014, followed by Jinger Vuolo in November 2016. Even Jana’s 19-year-old sister, Joy-Anna Duggar, is in a courtship. She announced her relationship with longtime friend Austin Fortysthe late last year.

So, why is Jana still single? It’s certainly not for lack of trying. Jana has revealed on numerous occasions that she just hasn’t found Mr. Right and isn’t willing to settle for anything less.

“There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven’t been the right one. It’s just one of those things. I’m not just out to get married to the first one who comes along,” Jana said on the TLC series in October 2016.

“I don’t know what the next five years will look like. In some ways you’ve got hopes and dreams. Maybe I’ll meet the one and get married and have kids and stuff.”

Jana was reported to be dating former NFL star Tim Tebow in 2014, though her cousin, Amy Duggar, denied those rumors on her behalf. Jana was also once linked to “Bringing Up Bates” star Zach Bates.

As for John-David, he’s also sparked a few dating rumors in his day. He was speculated to be courting in 2014, though nothing was made official by the Duggar family.
