Juan Manuel Marquez finally revealed his thoughts about boxing and Manny Pacquiao.

Arguably the greatest nemesis Pacquiao has ever shared the boxing ring with, Marquez finally reveals his thoughts about the Filipino legend.

Fight Hub TV managed to have an exclusive interview with Marquez during his Neveada Hall of Fame induction. In the interview, the former world boxing champ commented on Pacquiao’s most recent win against Keith Thurman.

According to Marquez, Thurman did a lot of damage to the body of Pacquiao and that’s what made him believe that Thurman won the fight.

“He (Thurman) landed so many punches inside of Manny Pacquiao, I think he has won, he changed his style, he changed the fight. Keith Thurman landed many punches and connected many punches with power,” Marquez said.

After stating that Thurman won against Pacquiao, Marquez was then asked about what should Pacquiao do with his career now that he is already ageing.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen with Manny Pacquiao, for his career, but he need to take the time and decide what’s gonna happen with his future because (he) received many many punches,” Marquez pointed.

A bit concerned about Pacquiao’s health, Marquez said that fighting Errol Spence is not the best option for the eight-division title holder at his point in time.

“Errol Spence is the best fighter in the welterweight division. And I think it’s no good idea for Pacquiao. Errol Spence (is a) difficult fight for Pacquiao,” Marquez said.

While Marquez believes that the Spence fight is a bit risky for Pacquiao, he thinks that Spence’s upcoming opponent Shawn Porter could be a “good opponent” for the boxing icon.

“Shawn Porter, maybe he’s good opponent for Pacquiao,” Marquez noted.

Aside from commenting on his former rival’s career, Marquez also revealed something that could change the landscape of boxing in the future. As per Marquez, boxing is his passion and whenever he watch fights on TV, he still feels the itch to return.

“Boxing is my passion. It is my sport, my favorite sport. When I see the fights on the tv, I said I go back to fight, I come back to fight, I want to return to fight,” Marquez revealed.

However, Marquez is still unsure about the time table of his return as he also stated that he needs to take some time for himself and for his family.

I need to take the time for my family, i need to take my time for myself,” Marquez explained.
