Julianne Hough Reveals Wedding Details, Explains Why She’s Not In A Rush To Marry Brooks Laich
Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich have been engaged for 10 months, but they haven’t started planning the wedding of their dreams. And, according to the 27-year-old bride-to-be, she won’t be picking out flower arrangements or tasting cakes anytime soon.
The former “Dancing With the Stars” judge dished to Us Weekly that instead of obsessing over wedding details, she intends on enjoying her engagement to her hockey star beau. The two began dating in December 2013 after Hough ended her three-year-relationship with Ryan Seacrest.
“We kinda of just started [planning], and we were like, ‘You know what? Let’s just chill. Let’s just enjoy the engagement process and the fun of it.’ So we haven’t really gotten into it,” she told the outlet.
Although Hough and Laich, 32, haven’t spent countless hours rummaging through wedding-themed Pinterest boards, the “Safe Haven” star does have an idea of who she wants to invite to the ceremony.
“It’s mainly just friends and family,” she said. “We’re keeping it pretty small and intimate.”
It looks like their wedding will reflect their “romantic and relaxed” proposal. After Laich popped the question in August 2015, Hough revealed the details of that special day on her blog.
“It was magical and sweet,” the dancing darling said, describing how the two were watching the sunset on the deck of their lake house when Laich got down on one knee. Hough went on to say how the intimate proposal was very “them.”
So, when are Hough and Laich ending their engagement phase to begin as husband and wife? Well, Hough told “Entertainment Tonight” that she’s in no rush!
“We might get married in 10 years!” she quipped, proving that she’s truly enjoy being Laich’s fiancée.
