Laura Dern, who was part of the "Jurassic Park" original cast, has created a buzz after a new photo of her playing with a baby dinosaur started making rounds online.

Empire Magazine tweeted the image Monday, alongside an old photo taken from the original film that showed the actress playing with a huge dinosaur. The old photo was contrasted with the new one, which reportedly offered a glimpse of how Dern would be playing with a new dinosaur in the upcoming installment called "Jurassic World Dominion."

"How it started / How it's going," the outlet captioned the photos.

Comments from netizens quickly poured in. Interestingly, many of them had a lot of things to say about how different the dinosaurs looked in the pictures.

"How does the 1993 dinosaur look better than the 2022 dinosaur. What happened in dinosaur technology," one of them wrote.

Another person came to technology's defense, noting, "You're thinking 'better' because you see more texture on the '93 dino. The reason the new one is smoother is cause it's a baby. They look visually as realistic as each other in these stills. In motion is another story."

Some even pointed out that the first movie had original-looking models of dinosaurs. "Note the major difference of the original having large scale realistic, actually built models vs the CGI garbage getting churned out now," someone commented.

The first movie in the "Jurassic Park" franchise, which was helmed by Steven Spielberg, came out in 1993. The director went on to make its sequel titled "The Lost World: Jurassic Park," which was released in 1997.

In 2001, "Jurassic Park 3" came out. It was followed by "Jurassic World" and "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," which dropped in 2015 and 2018, respectively.

It can be recalled that Chris Pratt shared a photo from the set of "Jurassic World Dominion" in May 2021. The said image featured director Colin Trevorrow and actor Omar Sy.

Pratt revealed at the time that they began filming in February 2020, and the entire movie was shot during the pandemic.

"It was actually insane," the actor said about his experience working on the film amid a global health crisis. "And the movie is incredible. Thanks to @colin.trevorrow our fearless leader. Seen here @omarsyofficial and I take a quick break to take some direction or maybe talk about something who knows it’s all a blur."

"Jurassic World Dominion" is slated for release on June 10. The movie will also star Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard, DeWanda Wise, Isabella Sermon and Daniella Pineda.
