Justin Bieber eyes SNL next to promote film 'Never Say Never'
Days ahead of the release of his new movie, Never Say Never, Justin Bieber seems to be on a campaign to take over the television media. After his appearance on Comedy Central's The Daily Show, the teen pop sensation is reportedly set to make a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend.
The Hollywood Reporter reported on Bieber's second stint on the NBC sketch comedy show, following the April 2010 appearance during which he performed two songs and acted in two sketches with Tina Fey.
Reports suggest that Bieber would join former SNL castmember Dana Carvey, who will host this weekend's show. Linkin Park is slated to be the musical guest on the show.
On Thursday, Bieber opened the Daily Show, during which the singer and host Jon Stewart pretended they had switched bodies. The promotion of Beiber's movie was accommodated with a photo of a butt with '#NeverSayNever' tattooed on it after Stewart complained of a sore rear end. This was after their bodies switched back and the teen singer said, Hope you don't mind the tattoo I left on your body...
Bieber's 3D movie is slated to hit theaters Feb. 11.
In the campaign to promote his film, the teen star also hit Late Night with David Letterman for the Top Ten list, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Regis & Kelly and The Today Show. He will appear on Conan show on Monday. Adding to the invasion of the small screen, Bieber is also rapping on Sean Kingston's new single 'Won't Stop'. After the release of the movie, Bieber is scheduled to appear on CSI on Feb. 17.
