Is Justin Bieber ‘Reboot’ Instagram Account Real Or Fake? Verified Profile Appears After Selena Gomez Drama

“What Do You Mean” singer Justin Bieber might have rebooted his Instagram account. A verified account with Bieber’s name showed up hours after he deleted his original one. The only problem is isn’t immediately clear if it’s authentic.

The news about Bieber, 22, rejoining Instagram spread after a fan tweeted about it. “This account shows up as new verified Justin Bieber account on Instagram,” the fan page, which goes by the name “Purpose Tour Updates,” wrote. But it's not confirmed yet if it's really Justin.”

The fan has nearly 6,000 followers and has the following Twitter biography: “Daily updates of Justin Bieber's World Tour. Stay tuned for exclusive news, photos/videos, contests & more! Turn our notifications on.”

International Business Times reached out to Instagram to see if Bieber’s new page was authentic, but the social media site would not comment. “Unfortunately, we cannot offer comment about individual accounts,” an Instagram spokesperson said. “Sorry I can’t help you more!”

For those who don’t already know, Bieber shocked his 77 million Instagram followers when he deleted his account Tuesday. He threatened he would make it private after his fans harassed his reputed girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

Richie, who is the daughter of singer Lionel Richie, issues a statement Monday. “Justin is not shutting out his beliebers. He's thankful every day for y'all, Y'all got him here.. He doesn't forget that.. Period,” she wrote. “All love.”

After some worried the singer might cancel his tour over the drama, Richie, 17, confirmed Bieber would continue with his performances. “#purposetour is still on... The music is still coming.. Love who you want... Stop the damn hate... And love each other!!” the model said.

Some fans were upset when Bieber started to post pictures of Richie on his Instagram account, but things nearly exploded when ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez responded. After Bieber asked his fans to stop hating on his new friend, she slammed him for apparently turning his back on his fans. The spat ended with them both accusing each other of cheating.
