Justin Bieber —not only did he battle with health and mental issues, the “Yummy” singer also revealed that he had commitment jitters before committing to his now-better half, Hailey Baldwin-Bieber.
Bieber, 25, made an appearance at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday, revealing that up until now, he still gets nervous around his wife. Apparently, Baldwin-Bieber reportedly feels the same way.
Bieber sets his wife in high regard, claiming how amazing she is as person and how he values her. In addition, the American singer proudly admitted how he enjoyed spending his life with Baldwin.
It was also at that moment when he revealed to the famous host, as many fans can see in the video that was uploaded by TheEllenShow in YouTube, how he doubted his capacity to become Baldwin’s husband. Bieber believed that claiming to love someone for better or for worse was a serious commitment and he was nervous if he would be able to follow through if he makes that commitment.
He started sharing about being nervous on making a commitment.
“Am I able to make this commitment as a man and be able to honor what I say,” he told DeGeneres during the interview. “because that’s a serious commitment when you say you gonna love someone for better or for worse and be faithful,” Bieber added.
Bieber finally made a decision of choosing Baldwin because, according to him, that’s what he always wanted.
A trip down the memory lane revealed Bieber and his 23-year-old model wife met back in 2009, according to the report of Elle. Stephen Baldwin reportedly introduced the younger Bieber and Baldwin [Hailey] at the backstage of “The Today Show.” Watch how their first meeting went in this video.
When Bieber started dating the “Lose You To Love Me” singer, Selena Gomez, Baldwin was reportedly one of those who supported their relationship. Fast-forward a few years later, the on and off relationship of Bieber and Gomez officially ended, and that’s when their —Bieber and Baldwin— romance sparked.
Bieber and Baldwin got engaged in 2018 and got married in the same year. Came 2019 and voila! The couple got married, again. The celebration was star-studded as it was attended by the likes of Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Jaden Smith, Usher, Ed Sheeran and Scooter Braun, the Daily Beast reported.
During the interview with the Ellen DeGeneres, the host revealed that she had a talk with Bieber at the backstage and she told him how happy she was seeing the “Sorry” singer happy. She also added that Bieber deserved all the love and nurturing he’s experiencing now.
