Justin Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez sparked rumors of reconciliation after they were spotted together at the Hillsong Church over the weekend, Hollywood Life reported. The news comes amid reports of the “Boyfriend” singer’s romance with British model Jayde Pierce.

Gomez and Bieber were seen at the church, which reportedly is where the latter used to take her when they were dating. Earlier this month, Bieber told a crowd that “Selena looked gorgeous” at the 2015 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

“They were together backstage at The Hillsong Church on Sunday. They didn’t leave together but they seemed like they were cool with each other,” an eyewitness told Hollywood Life.

A report had earlier claimed that Bieber had been seeing Selena since his twenty-first birthday in March, just after Gomez split with Russian-German musician Zedd. “Justin had secretly been hooking up with Selena since his birthday. They wanted to see if they could get back to a good place,” In Touch Weekly reported, according to Hollywood Life.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Gomez was “heartbroken” and “isn’t in a good place emotionally or mentally” after she discovered that Bieber was romancing Pierce. Bieber and Pierce were spotted together taking trips to the gym and posting selfies on social media.

“She has a Justin Bieber problem,” a source told In Touch Weekly, adding that he “simply stopped texting Selena. He’s with Jayde now and isn’t hiding it.”

Meanwhile, "Justin and Selena" started trending on Twitter early on Thursday, with several users reacting to their rumored reconciliation, and a video posted showing the two spending time together.
