Justin Bieber's Haircut 2013: Bieb's New 'Do Gets Mixed Reviews From Beliebers [PHOTOS]
Breaking news, Beliebers: Justin Bieber cut his luscious blonde locks.
JB has been known for his hair ever since he popped up on the music scene with his early hits like “Baby.” Fans had mixed emotions when he got rid of his bangs in February 2011, but one of his 27 million Beliebers went so far as to call him the “God of hair.”
The Biebs showed off his new ‘do by posting a picture to his Twitter account Tuesday. It’s like his signature look 2.0 with shaved sides instead. It seems like the 19-year-old was going for a harder look, a little more punk than pop, but the main problem with his new style is its androgynous character.
Endless websites and blogs have compared his new shaved look to Miley Cyrus and Rihanna’s wispy look. Isn't the androgynous 1970s style out? If someone were to bring it back it would probably be a trio of Cyrus, Rihanna and Bieber.
While the Examiner and Daily Mail claim the response has been mostly negative, MTV and Hollywood Life have reported fans are infatuated with the new look – Bieber’s way of starting over from his fizzled relationship with Disney star Selena Gomez.
"Yo, Justin Bieber! What’s Up With This Rihanna Haircut?" one Bieber follower questioned the singer’s new hair. A post from @EmilyKWells included a link to a story titled, "Justin Bieber Got A Haircut In His Ongoing Quest To Look As Androgynous As Possible.”
"What the hell has Justin Bieber done to his hair? Officially don't fancy him anymore," one Belieber said to the Daily Mail.
On the other side of the haircut: "So Justin bieber is single, he is writing new music and he got his hair flip back. WELL HELLO 2009," @BieberTheLucky tweeted.
@_LukeMace, another fan, said the teen star is the "god of hair" after his new cut.
His new ‘do even threw one fan into a fit of hysterics: @carlysraerote said, "HE SHAVED THE SIDES OF HIS HEAD I AM CRYING SCREAMING HOLLERING I AM IN COMPLETE ECSTACY RIGHT NOW."
