Justin Trudeau has been branded as “dim-witted” and “immature” after he mocked President Donald Trump at the NATO summit at Buckingham Palace.

In an article he wrote for Politeia, David Collins, a professor of international economic law at City University, said that the Canadian prime minister is perfectly incapable of being diplomatic.

“His awkward, childish mockery of President Trump during NATO’s 70th Anniversary earlier this week, clearly aimed at ingratiating himself with the other ‘cool kids’, could have damaged Canada’s relations with the United States at a pivotal moment,” he said.

Collins added that all Trudeau had to do at the conference was to behave accordingly but he didn’t. The professor also questioned the prime minster’s re-election last month and said that it was surprising that people voted for him despite his history of embarrassing gaffes.

“God knows what Justin would have said next. Each seeking to consolidate their own ties with the world’s largest economy, Macron and Johnson was no doubt wildly embarrassed to have been brought into the sphere of his antics in any way,” he said.

Meanwhile, Collins praised President Trump for not retaliating angrily after seeing the video of Trudeau seemingly mocking him. Instead, the POTUS simply called the prime minister “two-faced.” But Melania Trump’s husband also described the prime minister as a “nice guy” afterward.

In related news, Trudeau wasn’t the only person accused of throwing shade at President Trump at the NATO summit. A video of Prince Charles seemingly giving the U.S. president the finger has also made headlines.

The clip shows that future king scratching his nose with his middle finger. Twitter users quickly assumed that the heir to the throne was signaling something even when he wasn’t.

“As Trump is annoying the Queen, is Prince Charles really needing to use his middle finger to scratch an itch that just can’t wait, or is he flipping the bird to Trump?” Twitter user @twmentality1 wrote.

Princess Anne was also accused of avoiding President Trump after she refused to approach him while the other members of the royal family were in line to shake his and the FLOTUS’ hands.
