Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie and Idris Elba met less than two weeks before they both tested positive for coronavirus.
Elba and the wife of the prime minister of Canada both tested positive for COVID-19. It was found out that they were spotted together weeks ago.
Daily Mail shared snaps of the “Luther” actor posing alongside Trudeau’s wife at the We Day UK charity event. It took place on March 4 at the SSE Arena in Wembley.
Elba was there to discuss social issues with 12,000 schoolchildren and teachers. On the other hand, Sophie was present at the event because she has been working alongside the charity.
Sophie announced last week that she tested positive for coronavirus. She had gone into self quarantine. On the other hand, the “Thor” actor learned on March 13 that he was exposed to someone who had tested positive, so he quarantined himself and got tested immediately.
On Monday, he received the result and it was positive. Elba said on Twitter that he never experienced any symptoms and he is thankfully doing well. His wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba has not been tested but is also doing well. She was with him when he filmed himself to give his followers an update on his condition.
“Now is the real time to be really vigilant about washing your hands and keeping your distance, okay,” Elba said in the video.
“We’ve told our families, they are very supportive. We’ve told our colleagues. Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now. If you are feeling ill or you feel like you should be tested or you’ve been exposed, then do something about it.”
Tom Hanks was the first Hollywood celebrity to announce that he tested positive for coronavirus. Days after that several personalities also shared that they contracted COVID-19.
“Game of Thrones” star Kristofer Hivju took to Instagram to announce that he is coronavirus-positive. He encouraged everyone to keep distance and stay safe. Kevin Durant, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel Matthews tested positive for coronavirus, too.
