  • "Still Life"is Bigbang's first song to enter Billboard's main Digital Song Sales chart
  • The track also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart
  • Bigbang is the fourth K-pop group to enter the top 25 of the Billboard's main  Digital Song Sales chart

Despite their long hiatus and the controversies that hounded them, Bigbang has proven they are still the "Kings of K-pop" after their latest single "Still Life" grabbed the No. 1 spot on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart.

"Still Life" is the group's fifth song to reach the peak of the chart following their previous hits "LOSER," "BANG BANG BANG," "Let's Not Fall In Love" and "Flower Road." The group released "Flower Road" in 2018 before its members enlisted for South Korea's mandatory military service.

The new single, released on April 5, is also Bigbang's first song to enter Billboard's main Digital Song Sales Chart, which counts the weekly digital sales of songs in the U.S. The sentimental track was at No. 24 for the week ending on April 16. "Still Life," which also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, is currently at No. 9 on the Global 200 chart this week.

Considered by some as the group's final farewell before its members go into new directions, "Still Life" is a slow ballad, which features a nostalgic take on the boy band's musical journey. The music video shows each of the members representing the band in various seasons and the changes in their lives since they debuted in 2006. In one part of the video, Taeyang is seen on top of a ship amid a sea of yellow flowers, symbolizing the band's light stick. Incidentally, Bigbang is the first K-pop boy band that ever sold a light stick designed by rapper G-Dragon.

In another part of the video, Daesung is seen in a nearly empty hallway as he says goodbye to his youth. Next, G-Dragon stands on stage with a video of fans holding the light sticks shown in the background.

T.O.P. is featured walking on the moon alone wearing a rabbit mask and reflecting on how he wants to become a better person in the future. He raps, "Those who left and those who came /the world above our head… I'm going to change more than before/A good person more and more."

The poignant track has made Bigbang the fourth K-pop group in Billboard's history to ever enter the top 25 of the main Digital Song Sales chart following BTS, Blackpink and TWICE.
