Kailyn Lowry-Javi Marroquin Divorce Update: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Stars To Work On Marriage After Javi Returns Home, Report Says

“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry announced that she and her husband, Javi Marroquin, were going to divorce in May, but the couple might try to work things out. Marroquin is going to return home after being deployed, and they want to see if their marriage is salvageable, Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Tuesday.

But it won't be all roses and candlelit dinners when Marroquin comes home. He wants to spend time with sons Isaac, whom Lowry had with ex Jo Rivera, and Lincoln. “His first priority is seeing his family and spending time with the boys,” an insider told Radar Online.

That’s not to say Lowry and Marroquin won’t see each other. “Javi and Kail are planning on spending time together as a family to see if their relationship can be fixed,” the insider said.

Their goal is to fix their four-year marriage. “They are trying to work their issues out and stay together,” a source told Radar. “I think they both need to work on many aspects of their relationship. There are a lot of control and anger issues at play.”

Marroquin planned outings with friends to avoid “smothering” Lowry while they try to “deal with their issues.” Strangely enough, he will hang out with Christina "Peach" Pietrobon, who is Lowry’s former friend. “He also has plans to do a couple of things with Peach and friends like concerts, mini vacations and sporting events,” the insider said.

As documented on the MTV reality series, one of their major problems was that Lowry, 24, wanted to focus on her career. That also meant she didn’t want to have any more children, which was a major point of contention for Marroquin.

It was rumored that Lowry was "sexually fluid" and started a relationship with girlfriend Becky Hayter, but that might not be true. “They’re just friends,” a source told Radar Online in a different article. “They’ve known each other for a while and always mess around, calling each other ‘bae’ and ‘girlfriend’ because it’s funny.”
